The USQRA Wheelchair Rugby season went out with a bang on Saturday, April 22nd, as the host team, Ability 360 Heat, outlasted the Minnesota Steelheads to claim the Division I National Championship. Chuck Aoki and Minnesota kept it close throughout the final, but Ability 360 kept their composure and came out on top 55-51. The Heat won their third national title as the top seed on their home court, capping off an undefeated season in what was surely a special year in Phoenix. In Division II, the Lakeshore Demolition posted a 6-0 record on the way to the title, finishing with a comfortable 54-46 win over the Portland Pounders in the final. Ability 360 Heat player Jim Roberts took home Division I MVP in addition to the tournament win, while Division II finalist Jhon Mauricio Orozco Nunez brought an MVP award home to Portland.
